Kiran Mathew

Kiran Mathew's work experience includes working as a Sr. Staff Engineer at Ayar Labs, starting in 2024. Prior to that, Kiran worked at PsiQuantum from 2018 to 2024. At PsiQuantum, Kiran held multiple roles including Software Lead for Hardware test automation and measurements, where they developed core testing software, set up data pipelines, and developed analysis software. Kiran also worked as a Software Engineer, where they developed python software for simulating photonic devices and developed a tool to speed up Montecarlo simulations. Before joining PsiQuantum, Kiran worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Software Developer at Berkeley Lab from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they worked on backend software development for the Materials Project and made significant contributions to its software stack.

Kiran Mathew obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, from 2004 to 2008. Following that, Kiran pursued a Ph.D. in Materials Science, with a minor in Applied Physics, at Cornell University from 2010 to 2015.
