Daren Daugaard

Daren Daugaard has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Daren currently serves as the Vice President of Thermal Engineering at Aymium since August 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Expert Consultant at Lee Enterprises Consulting, specializing in the bioeconomy field. Daren also served as a Senior Consultant at Burning Oak Energy and as an Associate Professor at Lincoln University of Missouri, where they led engineering academic training and instructed soldiers on power generation and distribution. In addition, they held the position of Head of R&D and Operations at Cool Planet and worked as a Senior Research Engineer at ConocoPhillips. Earlier in their career, they served as an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio, a Project Engineer at Siemens, and a Development Engineer at Square D Company.

Daren Daugaard earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Thermal & Environmental Engineering from Iowa State University, graduating in 1995. Daren went on to pursue further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Chemical Engineering Emphasis from the same institution in 2003. Additionally, Daren Daugaard holds a certification as a Professional Engineer, which they obtained from the Iowa Professional Licensing Bureau in May 2003.
