Weiping Zhang (Vincent)

Weiping Zhang, also known as Vincent, has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering, machine learning, and quantitative research. Weiping(Vincent) currently serves as the Director of Engineering in China at AYR, formerly Singularity Systems, where they provide support to the engineering team, product team, and business team. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at the same company, where they helped set the standard training process for new colleagues. Weiping(Vincent) also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at AYR, where they developed AI solutions for Invoice processing and Contract processing using NLP techniques.

Before joining AYR, Vincent held a Summer Research Intern position at HuaTai Securities Co., Ltd., where they conducted quantitative research using genetic algorithms to find alpha.

Additionally, Vincent has experience working at WorldQuant, where they served as a Quantitative Researcher Consultant, gaining access to more markets and data sets. Weiping(Vincent) was rated as a tier I consultant within the first quarter after the end of their internship period. Weiping(Vincent) also worked as a Quantitative Researcher Summer Intern at WorldQuant, participating in the alpha research competition and gaining recognition for their performance. Weiping(Vincent) conducted alpha research on Websim using various types of data sets.

Weiping (Vincent) Zhang completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Science and Technology of China, which they pursued from 2014 to 2018. Afterward, they enrolled at Stevens Institute of Technology, where they obtained their Master of Business degree in Financial Engineering. Weiping(Vincent) pursued this program from 2018 to 2020.
