Bert Vanmierlo

Bert Vanmierlo, MD, FCCP, FEBHS is a highly skilled hand and microsurgeon with extensive training and experience in the field of plastic surgery. Currently serving at AZ Delta since June 2020, Bert has previously held significant roles, including Fellow in Hand Surgery at Handgroep az groeninge and consultant in Hand Surgery at the Plastic Surgery Department UZ Brussel. Bert completed a micro-fellowship in congenital hand surgery in Vietnam in November 2022 and has additional fellowships in advanced hand and microsurgery. Education includes a plastic surgery residency at UZ Brussel and a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Medicine from Universiteit Hasselt and VUB, respectively, both earned with honors. Bert is also a doctoral student at Hasselt University and holds a certification from the European Board of Hand Surgery.
