Michel Danneels

Michel Danneels is an experienced vascular surgeon at AZ Delta since August 2005, specializing in minimal invasive arterial surgery, including fenestrated EVAR, VATS surgery, salvage procedures in vascular access, and medical management coupled with medical information technology. Additionally, Michel has held roles as Medical EPR Coordinator and Head of Department for Vascular & Thoracic Surgery. Prior coordination experience includes the role of Medical Coordinator for Thoracic & Metabolic Diseases, overseeing multiple departments. Academic contributions include serving as a guest lecturer in Vascular & Thoracic Surgery at VIVES University College from 2007 to 2017. Early career development included residency positions in thoracovascular and vascular surgery at UZ Gent and UZ Leuven, respectively. Michel holds degrees in General Surgery and Medical Doctorate from KU Leuven, along with foundational education from HH College Maasmechelen and Klein Seminarie Roeselare.
