Jonathan Rowland

Jonathan Rowland is a Mechanical Engineering Manager at Azenta Life Sciences, overseeing a large team responsible for developing automated cold storage solutions for the Life Sciences sector since October 2013. Prior roles include Senior Systems Engineer at Azenta Life Sciences, where Jonathan managed the development of next-generation sample storage products and collaborated across disciplines to ensure successful project delivery. Before joining Azenta, Jonathan served as Project Manager at Astech Projects, managing automation projects for validated industries, and worked as an Applications Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer within the same company, focusing on automation concepts and bespoke automated systems. Jonathan began a career as a Design Engineer at ESI Technology Ltd, contributing to various sensing projects. Jonathan holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, obtained in 2004.
