Arif Aghayev serves as an Advisor to the Chairman at Azərbaycan Dəmir Yolları (Azerbaijan Railways) since June 2023. Previously, Arif held key leadership roles at ATL Group from October 2015 to July 2023, including Group VP and Chief Project Manager Officer. During tenure at Chemonics, International Development Group from December 2009 to October 2015, Arif led finance components. Earlier experience includes a position as Local Partner at Financial Access from January 2006 to November 2009 and Business Development Representative at SAGA Shiprepair Co. from October 2000 to December 2005. Arif earned an MBA in Finance & Strategy from Cambridge Judge Business School (2011-2012) and holds a Master's degree as well as a Bachelor's degree from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (1996-2002).
