Leyla Abbasova

Leyla Abbasova, CIA, currently serves as the Group Head of Corporate Development and Internal Control department at Azerconnect Group since May 2022. Previously, Leyla held significant roles including Deputy Head of Internal Audit and Chief Auditor on Internal Control and Process Assurance at Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company from March 2018 to May 2022. Prior experiences encompass leadership positions in internal control and business process management at Azerconnect LLC and Nar (Azerfon), along with a role as a System and Process Assurance Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Leyla began professional development with internships at the United Nations Development Programme and YOUTH Employment Summit. Leyla holds a Bachelor's degree in International Economic Relations from Azerbaijan State University of Economics, earned between 2006 and 2010.
