Emilio di Francesco

Emilio Di Francesco has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Emilio started their career as an R&D electronic engineer at SUPSI - University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland, where they focused on research, development, and rapid prototyping of GPS-based products. Emilio then joined Regent Lighting, where they held various roles including Sales & Technical Advisor Ticino, Branch Manager Ticino, and finally Country Manager Italia. In these positions, they provided consultancy and developed lighting design solutions for contractors, architects, and other stakeholders. Most recently, they joined Aziende Industriali di Lugano (AIL) SA as a Key Account Manager before being promoted to Head of Key Account Management. In this role, they are responsible for sales and technical advisory for energy supply and energy-saving solutions.

Emilio Di Francesco has a strong educational background in the field of electronics. Emilio attended the Istituto Tecnico Industriale from 1987 to 1992, where they obtained a degree in Electronic with a Maturità Tecnica. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland from 1994 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering.

In terms of professional development, in 2010 Emilio attended the Goethe Institut München, where they completed an Intensiv Deutschkurs A2 bis C1, focusing on German language proficiency. Additionally, in 2014 they attended SDA Bocconi to enhance their expertise in Advanced Selling Skills. Lastly, in 2018, Emilio briefly studied Team Leadership at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland.
