Michiel Thomassen

Michiel Thomassen has extensive experience in account management and advisory roles within the pension sector. Currently, at AZL since August 2018, Michiel serves as Manager Accountmanagement and Manager Bestuursadvisering. Since January 2017, Michiel has been the owner and advisor at Thijs Advies. Prior to these roles, Michiel held various managerial positions at Syntrus Achmea Pensioenbeheer from January 2008 to May 2018, including Manager Advies Bedrijfstakpensioenfondsen and Fondsmanager. Additionally, Michiel worked at Interpolis Pensioenen from January 2003 to December 2007 as Fondsmanager and Bestuursadviseur. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Business Administration from Tilburg University and multiple certifications from NIBE-SVV Opleidingen and Achmea Academy.
