Alexandre Attia

CTO & Co-Founder at AZmed

Alexandre Attia has a diverse range of work experience. In 2018, they co-founded and became the CTO of AZmed, where they utilized AI to automate the detection of fractures in X-rays, allowing doctors to focus on more critical cases. From 2015 to 2017, they were a board member and vice-president of Genius Global, a student entrepreneurship network aimed at promoting startups and encouraging students to start their own businesses. In 2019, Attia worked as a professor at Sciences Po, and as a startup mentor at Techstars. Alexandre also gained experience as a deep learning research intern at Therapixel in 2018, focusing on breast cancer detection using AI and deep learning techniques. In 2017, they worked as a data scientist intern at Thuuz Sports, developing deep learning algorithms for object identification in sports videos. Prior to that, Attia was a data scientist intern at C-Radar in 2016.

Alexandre Attia has a diverse education history. In 2011, they started attending Lycée Louis Pasteur, where they studied Physics and Chemistry (PC) until 2014. Following that, from 2014 to 2018, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science at École des Ponts ParisTech. In 2015, they briefly studied Computer Integrated Manufacturing, specifically Industrial Engineering, at Tel Aviv University. Later, in 2017 and 2018, they attended École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, where they obtained a Master of Science in Machine Learning and Computer Vision (MVA), specializing in Computer Science. Additionally, in May 2022, Alexandre Attia received the Forbes Europe 30 Under 30 certification from Forbes.
