Kristof Balasanian is currently the Vice President at Aztec Electric Racing, where Kristof manages a team responsible for various aspects of the team's operations. Kristof has successfully raised over $460,000 through sponsorships, grants, and donations. As an Accumulator Engineer, Kristof developed a battery thermal model to optimize cell choice, sizing, cooling, and performance predictions. Additionally, as an Operations & Finance Member, Kristof created and presented business and cost scenario presentations for competitions. Kristof also has previous experience in leadership roles at SDSU and coaching at Mission Viejo Nadadores Swim Club. Kristof is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University.

Aztec Electric Racing (AER) competes in an International Engineering Design Competition where we build a Formula Race car that is powered by electricity. Our mission is to design and manufacture a high-performance electric formula car that will compete among the top Formula Electric Racing teams in the world.
