Tom has worked in the education sector with Teach for Belgium and in the clean energy industry as a Business Development Manager at Vyncke Clean Energy Technology. Tom Dobbels began their education at Sint Amandscollege, where they completed their college degree in Science-Mathematics from 1996 to 2002. Tom then attended KU Leuven from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Master's degree in Business Economics. In 2006 to 2007, Tom pursued an Academic Teacher Training in Economics at KU Leuven, focusing on Secondary Education and Teaching. Finally, in 2014 to 2015, they studied at the National Taiwan Normal University as a ROC MOE scholarship student in the Mandarin Training Center, although it is unclear if they completed a degree during this time.
