Roman Shirokiy

Roman Shirokiy has worked as a Software Engineer at Azul Systems since August 2016, where they are responsible for developing the Zing JVM and ReadyNow technology. Roman has been working remotely in this role.

Prior to that, they worked at Intel Corporation as a Compiler Performance Engineer from October 2015 to July 2016. In this role, they focused on investigating compiler stability issues and ensuring the correctness of compilation results. Before that, they worked as a Compiler QA Intern at Intel Corporation from February 2015 to September 2015, where they were recognized for high-quality bug reports.

Furthermore, Roman also worked as an Assistant Researcher at Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics RAS from September 2013 to July 2016. In this role, they conducted research for their bachelor thesis on "Formula based retrieval of scientific texts" and developed the institute's internal system for maintenance of e-prints publishing process.

Roman Shirokiy earned a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) between the years 2010 and 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Applied mathematics and informatics at the same institution from 2014 to 2016.
