As co-founder and Director of Scientific Research of Azura Ophthalmics since 2014, Omer Rafaeli, MD, has more 18 years of innovation and development experience in the ophthalmic industry. In 2015, Omer co-founded PresBy LTD., a company dedicated to the development of contact lens for people with presbyopia which has completed the first contact lens prototype for development. In 2001, Omer joined NotalVision LTD, a company dedicated to early detection of retinal diseases. As a CSO of NotalVision he helped develop “Foresee Home,” a home device that combines visual field testing for Age-related Macular Degeneration diagnosis and home monitoring by tele-medicine. Before Omer started working in the ophthalmic innovation industry, he was a clinician in the Ophthalmology Department of the Rabin Medical Center in Israel. Omer has published scientific papers in the field of ophthalmology and is an owner of numerous allowed patents.
