Michael Balog

Michael Balog is an experienced cinematographer and educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Cinematography at Azusa Pacific University since September 2018. With a career spanning several decades, Michael has held the position of Director of Photography at Big Mike Productions since May 1995, working on diverse projects including a recent fundraising video in India for an orphanage. Michael has collaborated with various prestigious clients through Jackson Dawson and other companies since 1994. Notable past roles include Field Producer and Director of Photography at Mpower Pictures and Director of Photography for Prison Fellowship Ministries, which involved international travel. Michael has also served as President of The Tumbleweed Co., a camera and lighting rental facility, and has contributed to several films and television shows throughout a robust career in the industry. Michael's educational background includes training at The American Film Institute.
