Alex Young has extensive experience in the food and hospitality industry, currently serving as Managing Director at Azzurri Group since July 2019, after holding the position of CEO and COO at Pod Food from May 2017 to June 2019. Prior to this, Alex held various leadership roles at itsu, including Commercial Director and Head of City Retail Operations, from May 2008 to May 2017. Earlier career highlights include serving as Director of Operations at Fresh Italy and Pasta Italia and Operations Manager at Pret A Manger, where Alex worked for a decade. Alex began the career as General Manager at Frankie & Benny's. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Commerce from University College Birmingham, which was completed between 1993 and 1996.
