James Kinard

Music Director/bassist at B.B. King's Blues Club

James Kinard has a diverse work experience in the music industry and education sector. James was the Music Director/Bassist at BB King's Blues Club, where they led one of several bands that represented the organization on Holland America Line cruise ships. At Christ Missionary Baptist Church, they worked as a Musician. As the CEO of ATSL Productions, they performed various genres of music for live performances and studio recordings, using their home studio for remote recording sessions. Additionally, they served as a Special Education Teacher assistant at Shelby County Schools. James also worked as a Bassist for Isaac Hayes.

James Kinard's education history begins with their enrollment at The University of Memphis in 1976, where they studied Psychology/Computer Science. After completing their studies at The University of Memphis, they later pursued a degree in Music Teacher Education and Jazz Studies at Roosevelt University. In 1990, James enrolled at City Colleges of Chicago-Richard J Daley College, where they successfully obtained an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities in 1991.
