Florian Wakenhut

Florian Wakenhut began their work experience in 1998 as a Research Chemist at Zeneca. Florian then joined Pfizer in the same year and held various roles, including Senior Medicinal Chemist Team Leader and Senior Principal Scientist. During their time at Pfizer, Florian was responsible for setting and driving the Medicinal Chemistry strategy on several projects. Florian also played a key role in the design and delivery of 5 clinical candidates and managed teams of internal and contract research chemists. Florian joined B. Braun Group in 2011 and held positions such as R&D Project Leader and Director Product Ideas & Innovation before being appointed as Vice President of Global R&D Pharmaceuticals in 2018. In 2024, Florian took on the role of Vice President of Global R&D and Pharma Product Compliance at B. Braun Group.

Florian Wakenhut holds a Master of Business Administration - MBA degree in Medical Devices & Healthcare Management from Hochschule Furtwangen. Florian also pursued a DEA degree in organic chemistry from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rouen in 1997-1998. Prior to that, they attended the same institute from 1994 to 1997. Florian Wakenhut is also a FRSC - Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, certified by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
