Ray Barber

The safety of the technicians is a top priority at B&D, and no one knows safety like Ray Barber.

Ray has a bachelor’s degree in business management and is a Specialist in Safety and Health, as well as a Certified Safety and Health Official. He spent two years as the Safety Chair for the AGC Safety Committee and is a member of the NECA Labor management committee.

Ray started his time at B&D with a focus on safety, joining them in 2012 as a Safety Professional. In 2017, he started transitioning into Labor Management as well as Safety, in 2019 he was promoted into the position of Labor Productivity/Safety Manager, and he now serves as the Director of Labor Productivity/Safety Management.

Day to day, Ray makes sure that they have the proper manpower needed for all of the projects, but more importantly, he is responsible for the health and safety of each and every B&D employee. He says that he loves working for a Company that is truly family-oriented and values its employees.

Ray has been happily married to his wife, Lorie, for 34 years. He has two kids, Leoni and Cody, and two grandkids, Kenzie and Jace. Outside of work, Ray used to be a DJ, but he recently retired. He now likes to be outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting whenever he has the chance.
