Tom Banks, P.E. is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the engineering field, currently working at B2Q Associates since July 2018. Prior to this position, Tom served as an energy engineer at Goldman Copeland Associates, PC from June 2015 to June 2018, and previously held an internship role at B2Q Associates from May 2007 to February 2015. Additionally, Tom gained hands-on experience as an HVAC intern at BR+A Consulting Engineers during the summer of 2014. Tom earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completing the program in 2015, and graduated from St. John's Preparatory High School in 2011 with a focus on general studies.

B2Q Associates is an independent consulting engineering firm specializing in engineering, design, and implementation of facility energy efficiency, commissioning, and CH&P projects for commercial, industrial, institutional, public sector, and utility clients. B2Q experience includes projects within healthcare, high-tech, pharmaceutical, research, and industrial facilities, from simple low-cost/no-cost measures to complex building envelope, HVAC, central plant, lighting, facility automation systems, CH&P, and industrial process retrofits. B2Q Associates provides NSTAR, National Grid, Western MA Electric Company, New England Gas, and Northeast Utilities with engineering services to implement their commercial/industrial efficiency programs. Clients served under these programs include the MA Division of Energy Resources, Harvard University, Coca-Cola, MIT, Pfizer, Gillette, Genzyme, General Electric, and EMC, to name a few.
