Paulo Gomes

Paulo Gomes is a seasoned professional in data science and engineering, currently serving as the Data Science and Analytics Manager at BA GLASS since February 2022, and co-director and lecturer at Porto Business School for the Executive Masters in Digital Transformation since September 2023. Previously, Paulo held several significant roles at BP from March 2012 to February 2022, including Project Lead for bp's digital-twin in production systems, Technical Lead in Cementing R&D, and Project Lead for the Well Advisor program. Academic contributions include being an Invited Associate Professor at Heriot-Watt University and lecturing at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto. Early career experiences include consulting at BHR Group and co-founding FLUIDINOVA, S.A. Paulo holds a Ph.D. in Fluid Dynamics and Chemical Engineering, along with post-graduate qualifications in Entrepreneurship.
