Linda Pitler has extensive experience in the medical field, currently serving as a Medical Team Volunteer and team captain for the Boston Athletic Association CPR Program since 2011. Linda's previous roles include a Medical Navigation Nurse at MGH/Harvard Medical School, focusing on the Football Players Health Study, and a Clinical Research Nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, specializing in research within the Thoracic Aortic Center. Earlier experience includes coordinating diabetic retinopathy trials at Schepens Eye Research Institute. Linda holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Nurse Specialist from UMass Boston and a BSN in Registered Nursing from D'Youville University.
Boston Athletic Association
Established in 1887, the Boston Athletic Association is a non-profit organization with a mission of managing athletic events and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports, especially running. While its signature event remains the Boston Marathon, the Boston Athletic Association manages a comprehensive, year-round schedule of events including the B.A.A. Half Marathon and the Boston Mayor's Cup.
