Andreas brings over 20 years of experience in defining data strategies to achieve a holistic data management approach across the organization. These include the design and implementation of reporting frameworks, management information systems, data architectures, and data governance initiatives. Liaising with top management on C-level, he is very experienced in formulating targets for optimally aligning business, data, and technology strategies.

In various roles in banking, securities trading, reinsurance, international corporate insurance, and asset management, he conducted an intense assessment of the data realities of the organizations. Combining this knowledge of the available information with his experience in applying data management recipes he forms the foundations to optimally use data assets for maximizing business outcomes, detecting cost-saving opportunities, and identifying new areas of engagement.

With his expert knowledge in designing and implementing data lake, data warehouse and business intelligence solutions he forms a single point of truth within the information universe of the company acting as the basis for advanced analytics, machine learning, and standard reporting. Besides utilizing the existing information components, he sets up initiatives to fill gaps in the data horizon and to assure that the right data elements are collected in the appropriate granularity and quality.

Over the years, Andreas has gained expert knowledge in harmonizing data requirements across business functions like controlling, accounting, back office, compliance, audit, trading, sales, underwriting, reserving, regulatory reporting, and risk management. He acts as a well-respected stake holder in understanding, designing, and implementing reporting solutions and in defining standardized representations of metrics and business terms.
