Maria Ouzounova

Principal Architect at Babbage

Maria completed her degree in Sofia, Bulgaria, and built her experience in Europe and South Africa before coming to New Zealand in 1995. Here, she has been involved in the design and construction of multi-unit residential buildings, retail and education projects, and office buildings. She joined Babbage in 2010 and became a principal in 2012.She is an unashamed control freak when it comes to the big picture. Her mantra is: resolve the big issues and everything else falls into place. Maria’s goal is to extract the value of a project and compliment it with high-end architecture and aesthetics. As a mentor and leader at Babbage, she insists the quality of the results is never compromised.
