Hal Oral

Hal Oral has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Internal Auditor at Deloitte from August 2006 to June 2007. Hal then worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Greater New York Mutual Insurance Companies from June 2007 to April 2013. During this time, Hal created and tested internal controls, improved processes, and helped detect fraudulent transactions. Hal joined Datalot in April 2013 and held various roles, including Director of Finance and FP&A from January 2019 to January 2021, Controller from April 2013 to December 2021, and VP of Finance and FP&A from January 2021 to December 2021. At Datalot, Hal was responsible for financial and accounting processes, collaborating with different departments, and bridging the gap between tech/data and managers. Since December 2021, Hal has been the Head of Strategic Finance at Splendid Spoon Inc., overseeing treasury, debt, shareholder relations, FP&A, special projects, and working closely with various teams to provide accurate data for optimal performance. In November 2022, they will be joining Babbel as Finance Director for the US.

Hal Oral obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Binghamton University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) also in Accounting from the same institution in the years 2002-2006. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Statistics from Hunter College between 2011 and 2014.
