Xuehong Mao

Co-Founder and Senior Architect at BabbleLabs

Xuehong Mao has a long and varied work experience. In 2002, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China, where they researched on channel estimation algorithms for OFDM systems and synchronization algorithms for OFDM systems. In 2005, they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Utah, where they proposed a joint channel estimation and data detection algorithm for high-rate multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications. In 2008, they were a Research Intern at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, where they proposed a distributed adaptive soft frequency reuse scheme for the uplink of E-UTRAN long-term evolution (LTE) systems. In 2013, they were a Quality Assurance Intern at Harman Signal Processing, and a Principal Design Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, and Baseband System Architecture Intern at Cadence Design Systems. From 2017 to 2020, they were Co-Founder and Senior Architect at BabbleLabs, Inc., and since 2020, they have been a Principal Engineer at Cisco.

Xuehong Mao obtained a B.S. in Communication Engineering in 2002, followed by an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2005. Xuehong then went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Utah.
