Alan Duke

Alan Duke is an accomplished professional in the clean energy sector, currently serving as the Clean Energy Development Director at Babcock & Wilcox since January 2023. In this role, Alan leads Waste-to-Energy development initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region, with a strategic emphasis on countries including Australia, Vietnam, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, and Thailand. Prior to this position, Alan was the Deputy Project Manager at Veolia Australia and New Zealand, focusing on the development of Waste-to-Energy facilities within Australia. Alan’s experience includes a significant tenure at SUEZ from November 2014 to March 2022, where a key contribution involved serving as a Senior Project & Planning Engineer in the Vinca PPP Project Management Team, delivering a groundbreaking waste management facility. Earlier career roles included Project Engineer and Assistant Engineer on various projects, including ice pigging. Alan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering from The University of Queensland, awarded in 2013.
