Nakia Navarro

Nakia Navarro is an experienced educator and community organizer with a focus on social and environmental justice. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Babson College, Nakia teaches a course on Environmental Justice that examines inequities and power dynamics in relation to environmental issues. As the Founder of Building Audacity since May 2018, Nakia is dedicated to empowering young people through active participation in social change. Past roles include Adjunct Professor at Merrimack College, Director of Community Organizing at Positive Tracks, and Program Director at the New England Grassroots Environment Fund, where Nakia fostered civic engagement for sustainable communities. With a robust educational background, including two Master's degrees from Tufts University and ongoing doctoral studies at UMass Boston, Nakia's career reflects a commitment to leadership and advocacy in urban education and policy.
