Talmai Oliveira

Talmai Oliveira is an experienced professional in software engineering and blockchain technology, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Babson College, focusing on blockchain ventures and cryptocurrencies since 2023. Also in 2023, Talmai joined Akamai Technologies as a Principal Software Engineer, leading a team while working on innovative projects within Kubernetes. Previously, from 2022 to 2023, Talmai was Director of Engineering at Super Studios Inc., contributing to the development of web3. Talmai's career at Akamai Technologies from 2017 to 2022 included roles as Sr Software Engineer (Lead)/Manager and Sr Software Engineer/Manager in blockchain, leading teams to create a high-performance global blockchain system. Earlier experience includes managing IoT projects as IoT Labs Manager & Sr. Scientist at Philips Lighting from 2012 to 2017. Talmai holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and both an MSc in Mechatronics and a BSc in Computer Science from Universidade Federal da Bahia.
