James Mentz

Mr. James Mentz is the Chief Executive Officer at BACCH Laboratories, Inc. James performs all aspects of the entrepreneurial enterprise. He identifies unserved market spaces that match the core competencies of the team. He works together with his team to build and ship products, to the delight of customers eager to fill those spaces.

Previously, James was the Director of Marketing for Intellon Corporation, a fabless semiconductor company. James helped sell over 12.6 million integrated circuits, owned the company’s highest revenue and highest margin dollar product lines, drove to ratification of an SAE standard that mandated the use of company products, helped move the company through Series A, B, and C institutional rounds that totaled $76 million in venture capital funding, and was the Director of Marketing through their IPO on the NASDAQ in December 2007.

James holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, a minor in chemistry, and an MBA from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. James is a member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Audio Engineering Society (AES), and the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), and was named a Fellow in the HomePlug Powerline Alliance.
