Janet Lee has extensive work experience in marketing and brand development. Janet is currently the Vice President of Marketing at Bachan's, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at REI as the Divisional Vice President of Marketing from 2021 to 2023. In this role, they led a 25-person Marketing Center of Excellence and was responsible for crafting marketing and brand strategies.
From 2020 to 2021, Janet served as Chief Brand Catalyst at their own company, Janet Lee. Before that, they worked at PepsiCo for several years, holding various positions including Director of Marketing for Future Brands ESSA, Director of Marketing for Western Europe Snacks Incubator, and Senior Marketing Manager for Western Europe Snacks Incubator. At PepsiCo, they led teams in marketing and insights, delivered end-to-end marketing plans, and launched innovative brands.
Janet also has experience working at The J.M. Smucker Company as the Director of Marketing for Sahale Snacks, where they led the brand's integration and achieved distribution gains. Janet started their career at Starbucks as a Category Manager and Product Manager, managing strategy, new product innovation, and cross-functional teams.
Before their career in marketing, Janet worked as a Senior Analyst in New Business Development at Corporate Executive Board and as a Management Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Janet Lee has a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce, with a focus in Marketing and Management Information Systems, from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce. Janet also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, with a specialization in General Management and Marketing.
