Dr. Ralf Gaffal

Dr. Ralf Gaffal has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dr. Ralf is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Bachner Elektro GmbH & Co. KG, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Munich Airport International, where they served as the Chief Executive Officer from August 2017 to October 2022. In this position, they were responsible for overseeing the international business of Munich Airport, managing a group of five companies that provided aviation consulting, training, airport management services, and investments. Dr. Ralf was also in charge of approximately 120 group employees and had revenue responsibility of 25 million. Before their time at Munich Airport International, Dr. Ralf Gaffal held various positions at Munich Airport, including Vice President from January 2010 to July 2017 and Expert Infrastructure Development in the 3rd runway extension program from July 2008 to July 2011. Dr. Ralf started their career as a Research Assistant (PhD Student) at Technische Universität München, where they worked from July 2003 to July 2008.

Dr. Ralf Gaffal completed their Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2003. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Economics from Fernuniversität Hagen in 2006.
