Dan Shuman

Dan Shuman, DO, currently serves as the Health Services Director and Medical Director & Family Physician at Back2Back Ministries since January 2017. Prior to this role, Dan held the positions of Chief Medical Officer & Family Physician at Ashland Health Center from July 2011 to December 2016 and Chief Medical Officer & Family Physician at Lone Star Circle of Care between December 2007 and August 2009. Dan's experience also includes serving as a Family Physician at Scott & White from August 2009 to July 2011 and a Medical Director & Family Physician at Molokai Ohana Health Care from May 2004 to December 2007. Dan began a career in medicine in the US Army as a Family Physician from June 2000 to May 2004. Dan completed a Family Medicine Internship/Residency at Dewitt Army Community Hospital and earned a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from UNT Health Science Center. Dan's educational background includes clinical gerontology studies at Baylor University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the same institution.
