Uven Pillay

Uven Pillay is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience across various sectors, including banking and insurance. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Backbase since September 2021, Uven previously held multiple key roles at Hollard Insurance from October 2012 to October 2021, where responsibilities included establishing Robotic Process Automation functions and leading strategic projects within the Commercial Business Unit. Uven's previous experience encompasses roles at Swiss Re, including Vice President of Project Management and Program Officer, as well as significant contributions at Sappi as a Group Systems Account and Project Manager. Uven holds a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration from the GIBS Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of the Western Cape.
