Christopher McGranahan

Christopher McGranahan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Christopher is currently working at Backblaze as the Director of Security Architecture & Engineering. Before this, they held various positions at Amtrak, including Director IT Security Architecture and Engineering, Enterprise Security Architect Director, Director of Security Architecture, and Senior Principal IT Security Specialist. Prior to Amtrak, they worked as a Senior IT Security Analyst at Amtrak and as an IT Security Specialist at Worldspace Inc. Christopher also served as a Network Engineer/IT Security Specialist at Washington Gas and as the Directory of Membership at the Supreme Court Historical Society. Christopher began their career as an Intern/Development Assistant at National Public Radio and later worked as a Photographer at Habitat for Humanity.

Christopher McGranahan received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in the years 1986-1990. Christopher then went on to earn their Master of Arts degree from American University, from 1995-1997. Additionally, Christopher has obtained a certification in LDP from the Center for Creative Leadership.
