Tom Roden

Tom Roden is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in data engineering and systems architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Backblaze Cloud Storage & Backup since October 2020, Tom has previously held key positions such as Senior Technical Lead in Data Science at Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, where responsibilities included developing rule-based algorithms for audio-visual asset analysis. With a strong background in various programming languages and technologies, Tom has also contributed to companies like Western Digital as a Principal Engineer in Systems Architecture, and Cisco Systems, where Tom designed high-performance network protocols. Tom's entrepreneurial spirit is evident from the ownership of Benders Bjurts, where innovative firmware and software projects were developed.
