Lynsey Thornton

Lynsey Thornton is currently a Founding Partner at Backbone Angels, an angel collective of ten women who met in the early days of Shopify. Prior to this role, Lynsey held various positions at Shopify, including Managing Director, GM of Core Product & VP of UX, VP of User Experience, Director of UX, Director - UX Research, and UX Research Lead. Lynsey has also worked at Vision Critical, Paddy Power, Transware, Intrelate, and JM Design in roles related to interaction design, usability, user experience research, and graphic design. Lynsey holds an MBA in E-Commerce from Queen Margaret University, a BSc Hons in Multimedia Technology from Edinburgh Napier University, and a HND in Multimedia from Ballyfermot College of Further Education.
