Kiana Pirouz

Kiana Pirouz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kiana is currently the Head of Growth & Community at Backdrop Labs since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor for Take Up Space, a web3 native community turned media DAO. Kiana was also a Community Member of Sunday Dinner Community, a curated slack channel supporting leaders in the marketing & creative community. In 2021, Kiana served as a Fractional CMO & Strategy Consultant, partnering with decision makers at F500 brands/agencies to navigate the future of web3. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Head of Marketing at We Are Rosie, leading the growth of the company through community-building efforts. Before that, they co-founded and curated Before We Were Banned from 2017 to 2020. Kiana has also held positions as the VP of Content Marketing at UM Worldwide, Team Lead - Creative Lab at Google, Account Director at VICE Media, and Associate Media Director at MediaVest Worldwide Inc.

Kiana Pirouz completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at the University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences in 2005.
