Briar Chrysochou

Briar Chrysochou began their work experience in 2015 at Celtx, where they started as a Senior Software Developer. In this role, they were responsible for full-stack development and worked with languages such as JavaScript, LESS, Perl, and Node. They also had experience modifying and creating UI components, API layers, and build processes.

Later on, Briar Chrysochou took on additional roles at Celtx, including Release Management and Development Team Lead. As a Development Team Lead, they managed and supported a team of over 20 developers. They acted as a liaison between technical and non-technical personnel, handled administrative tasks, and supported the removal of obstacles for the development team.

In the role of Release Management, Briar Chrysochou performed frequent deployments to the live production environment using Git and various AWS services such as OpsWorks, DynamoDB, Route53, and Lambdas.

In 2022, Briar Chrysochou joined Backlight as the Director of Software Production.

Briar Chrysochou obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland between 2010 and 2015. They also hold a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance, which was obtained in January 2022.
