Leon Hurtado

Leon Hurtado is a highly experienced technical support engineer and manager with a strong background in broadcasting and live event production. Currently serving as Lead Technical Support Engineer at Backlight since January 2023, Hurtado previously held roles at Zype, including Sr Manager of Customer Support and Team Lead for Streaming Platform Support. A former Tech Service Specialist at DIRECTV Latin America, Hurtado contributed to the maintenance and operation support of technical areas in Argentina's broadcast center. Additionally, Hurtado has worked as an independent consultant for live TV events and served in various capacities, including OB Technical Production Supervisor for DIRECTV Sports in Venezuela and Broadcast Engineer at Vision Digital. Hurtado holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela.
