Richard Covington began their career in 2000 as a Designer and Editor at All-Star Printing. In 2001, they moved to Universal Titanium as a Marketing Communications Strategist, where they created catalogs, brochures, and other sales tools, designed logos, packaging, and similar branding elements, and analyzed the competitive landscape while crafting brand messaging, copywriting, and graphic design. In 2005, they took on the role of Marketing Manager at Davisco Xerox, where they developed collateral, managed the website, and carried out marketing campaigns to support sales reps across a five-state region. Since 2007, they have been the Marketing Manager at Backstage Library Works, where they oversee marketing for five service groups, collaborates with cross-functional teams of product managers and executives, sales professionals and marketing specialists to assess market conditions, develop strategic plans, and create messaging for target institutions and buyer personas, and plans and executes marketing campaigns electronically, in print, and at face-to-face events.

Richard Covington has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Brigham Young University - Marriott School of Business, which they obtained between 2011 and 2013. Richard also has a BS in English/Business from Weber State University, which they obtained between 1998 and 2001. Additionally, they attended Southern Utah University between 1994 and 1995, but did not obtain a degree. Richard also has certifications in Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, and Email Marketing from HubSpot, which they obtained in June 2016, March 2017, and August 2016, respectively.
