Backstory
Sam Baumber is a co-founder and managing director at Backstory, focusing on products and services for the circular and impact economies, with experiments in back pain relief and renewable energy. Baumber has served as co-founder and executive director of business development and COO at IndiNature, specializing in circular bioeconomy innovation and sustainable materials. Additional roles include social enterprise ambassador at the British Council and managing director of SEA International CIC, where Baumber led entrepreneurship education initiatives across multiple countries. Previous experience includes roles at The John Muir Trust in conservation and outdoor education management, as well as engagement with Médecins Sans Frontières as a volunteer researcher. Baumber holds an MSc in Geography from The University of Edinburgh and has pursued various leadership and entrepreneurship training programs.

Backstory
Backstory started as an experiment to create new products and services to help people with back injury prevention and pain relief. Using sustainable and recycled materials, and an innovative business model, contributing the circular economy, we aim support social, cultural and environmental change. We also offer facilitation of business modelling and planning, learning and development, and development of new ideas and designs for products that help us be more healthy and sustainable as a global society.
