Sandra Casani

Sandra Casani has over 20 years of work experience in the field of quality assurance and management. Their most recent role was as the QA/QC Lead at Bactolife starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the QA Manager at Kaffe Bueno from February 2022 to May 2022. From April 2020 to December 2021, they served as the QA Department Manager at Chr. Hansen. Additionally, they worked at Novozymes as the Quality Manager for Human Health & New Business from August 2017 to December 2019. Before that, they held various positions at Chr. Hansen Holding A/S, including Principal QA Scientist, Global QC Manager, and Global QC Method Portfolio Manager. Sandra has also been involved in industry committees and academia, serving as the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Analytical Methods for Dairy Microorganisms at the International Dairy Federation. Sandra holds a position as Assistant Professor at The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University of Denmark in the Department of Food Science. Sandra started their career as a Project Manager, Laboratory Leader, and Safety Responsible at the Technical University of Denmark in 1998.

Sandra Casani pursued their education in a chronological order by first completing their Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universitat de Barcelona between 1987 and 1992. Following this, they went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Food and water microbiology from Den Kgl. Veterinær- og Landbohøjskole, a Danish institution, from 2000 to 2004.
