Systems Administrator at Badger Meter

Benjamin Hillen has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and companies. Benjamin began their career as a production assistant at Quad/Graphics in April 2012 and stayed until April 2013. From May 2013 to May 2014, they worked as a field support technician intern at Paragon Development Systems, where they specialized in hardware repair and virus removal.

Starting in May 2014, Benjamin joined Badger Meter, initially as an Information Systems Intern. In this role, they provided desktop deployment and systems imaging, software and configuration support, virus removal, and software troubleshooting. Benjamin also contributed to systems administration through SCCM and AD and developed and implemented IT projects for various departments. Benjamin continued their journey with Badger Meter and progressed into a Network Technician role in February 2016. In this position, they were responsible for managing and maintaining the company's network infrastructure.

In July 2018, Benjamin was promoted to Senior Help Desk Technician at Badger Meter. Benjamin provided technical support to users and resolved technical issues. Benjamin took on more leadership responsibilities in April 2021 when they became the Desktop Systems Lead, overseeing the design and implementation of desktop systems and infrastructure.

Since August 2022, Benjamin has been working as a Systems Administrator at Badger Meter. In this role, they set up and maintains Esxi hosts, storage, and VSPhere environment for the entire enterprise. Benjamin also handles system patching and vulnerability mitigation. Additionally, they are an O365 Global admin with a specific focus on MS Sharepoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

Overall, Benjamin Hillen has gained significant experience in systems administration, help desk support, network management, and desktop systems implementation throughout their career.

Benjamin Hillen began their education at Waukesha County Technical College in 2012, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Network specialist. Benjamin then pursued further education at Carroll University from 2014 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's of Science degree in Information Technology.
