Pranab Bora

Pranab Bora has over 20 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Pranab is currently working as a Software Engineering Manager at Badger Meter, starting in 2023. Previously, they served as the Director of Engineering at Near from 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Sentry Insurance for 15 years, starting as a Senior Software Development Engineer in 2007 and continuing in that role until 2022. Before joining Sentry Insurance, Pranab worked at American Family Insurance as a Senior Technical Lead from 2003 to 2007. Pranab also held the position of Senior Technical Lead at Wisconsin State Agencies from 2002 to 2003. Pranab began their career at Compuware as a Senior Programmer/Analyst from 2000 to 2002.

Pranab Bora completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Jorhat Engineering College, Dibrugarh University, Assam, India, between 1989 and 1993.

Pranab has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. Some of the certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022, Guidewire Specialist Certification - Billing Center 10.0 Configuration from Guidewire Software in July 2021, and Guidewire Specialist Certification - InsuranceSuite 10.0 Integration from Guidewire Software in April 2020. Additionally, they have certifications such as IBM Certified Solution Developer: Object-Oriented Analysis and Design with UML and Sun Certified J2EE Architect, among others.
