Tim McKnelly

Tim McKnelly is an experienced leader in systems engineering and program management within the defense sector. Currently serving as the Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test Lead at BAE Systems, Inc. since April 2024, Tim McKnelly directs technical initiatives for Electronic Warfare Systems. Prior roles include President & Principal Consultant at The McKnelly Group, LLC, where strategic advice was provided to government and non-government entities, and Senior Principal Program Manager at Mercury Systems, overseeing program risk and performance. Tim McKnelly also held the position of Associate Director for MRAD Programs at Raytheon Technologies, supervising the integration and delivery of missile systems, and was the Senior Project Lead for Blackhawk Helicopters in the US Army, managing development and upgrade projects. Tim McKnelly holds a Master’s degree in Operations Research and Human Systems Integration from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
