Robert Sherman

Robert Sherman has over 15 years of work experience in the chemical industry. Robert started their career as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at Texas A&M University in 2004. Robert then worked as a Platform Chemist at GE Plastics from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2012, they worked at LyondellBasell as part of the North American Polyethylene Product Development team, focusing on additive and formulation development for LDPE. In 2007, they also served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Southern Indiana. In 2012, they joined Aristech Acrylics LLC as a Senior Development Scientist. Currently, they are the Technical Director SPA at Baerlocher USA, where they support and develops RST stabilizer additives for polyolefins and non-PVC polymers on a global basis.

Robert Sherman earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry (polymers and nanocomposites) from Oklahoma State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained their Master's degree in Chemistry (physical organic) from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, between 1997 and 2000. Their undergraduate education was also completed at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from 1993 to 1997.
