Cortney Oliver currently serves as the Senior Manager of Environmental Social Governance at Baffinland, a position held since May 2023. Previously, Cortney held various roles at Metrolinx from December 2019 to May 2023, including Municipal Sponsor (Sr. Manager) and Senior Advisor for Regional Partnerships. Prior experience includes working as the Business Lead for Corporate Affairs at OCS Ontario Cannabis Store, where responsibilities encompassed policy and stakeholder relations for recreational cannabis in Ontario. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, Project Manager for Conservation Lands at Toronto and Region Conservation, and Land Planner for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. Early career experience includes a role as a Gender Analyst with the Canadian International Development Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Fisheries in Mozambique. Cortney Oliver holds a Master of Public Administration from Queen's University, a Post Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management from Niagara College, and an Honours BA in Environmental Studies from Trent University.
