Founded in 1977, Bahwan Engineering Group is part of Bahwan Holding LLC, one of Oman's foremost business houses. The Group has emerged as one of the largest engineering construction, trading & services groups in Oman.

BEC is the first company in its category to achieve ISO 9000 certification for "Project Management and construction activity comprising Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation works associated with Oil, Gas, Power and Industrial Projects"​. BEC has well documented “HSE Management System” in line with international standards and is certified for OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001.
